Taken from their fifth studio album, Trench.

The wait is over. Twenty One Pilots have finally released the first single 'Jumpsuit' from their upcoming fifth studio album called Trench.

Announcing the news of the song, the band posted the song to their YouTube account along with a SECOND song 'Nico and the Niners'. They then followed that up with a tweet which simply reads: "here is your video for a new song titled Jumpsuit. ||-//". Listen to both songs below:

The songs follows months of mysterious clues and a plethora of fan theories.

Back in April, fans discovered a website (DMAORG) which linked out from the Vessel merch store. The website contained an a journal by a character named 'clancy' which said "you are in violation. thEy mustn't know you were here. no one should ever find out About this. you can never tell anyone about thiS -- for The sake of the others' survIval, you muSt keep this silent. we mUst keeP silent. no one can know. no one can know. no o ne c an kn ow_"

The website was updated several times following his escape from a place named 'DEMA'. But those weren't the only clues that the band dropped.

This week (July 9), the band updated the visual across all their digital platforms with a new logo and yellow colour scheme. The logo then appeared on billboards around the world. Then there was also a GIF of an eye which, over several newsletter and social media posts, opened to reveal a video playing within the eye.

Another indication of new music came in late June when the two new songs, 'Jumpsuit' and 'Nico and the Niners', were added to the PPL music database. More recently, Sirius XM in the US also accidentally leaked the release date for the track, announcing on a news bulletin that it would drop "on Thursday".

It's been three years since the band released their last album Blurryface in May 2015. Their last live performance was on June 25th 2017 in Columbus, Ohio.

Here's the full lyrics to 'Jumpsuit'

I can’t believe how much I hate,

Pressures of a new place roll my way,

Jumpsuit, Jumpsuit cover me,

Jumpsuit, Jumpsuit cover me.

I crumble underneath the weight,

Pressures of a new place roll my way,

Jumpsuit,

Jumpsuit cover me.

Jumpsuit,

Jumpsuit cover me.

Spirits in my room, friend or foe?

Felt it in my youth,

feel it when I’m old,

Jumpsuit,

Jumpsuit cover me,

Dusting off my Jumpsuit.

I’ll be right there,

But you’ll have to grab my throat and lift me in the air,

If you need anyone,

I’ll stop my plans, But you’ll have to tie me down and then break both my hands, If you need anyone.

Here's the full lyrics to 'Nico and the Niners'

East is up,

I’m fearless when I hear this on the low,

East is up,

I’m careless when I wear my rebel clothes,

East is up,

When Bishops come together they will know that,

Dema don’t control us,

Dema don’t control,

East is up.

They want to make you forget,

They want to make you forget,

Save your razorblades now, not yet,

Save your razorblades now, not yet.

I’m heavy, my Jumpsuit is on steady,

I’m lighter when I’m lower,

I’m higher when I’m heavy,

I’m so high, my Jumpsuit takes me so high,

I’m flying from a fire, from Nico and the Niners.

What I say when I want to be enough,

What a beautiful day for making a break for it,

We’ll find a way to pay for it,

Maybe from all the money we made razorblade stores,

Rent a race horse and force a sponsor,

And start a concert, a complete diversion,

Start a mob and you can be quite certain,

We’ll win but not everyone will get out.
