Disney are reportedly making a live-action Tangled movie

It looks like Rapunzel is getting her own live-action film.

Tangled hive assemble. A live-action Rapunzel is reportedly in the works at Disney and fans already have cast suggestions.

It's no secret that Tangled is one of the most loved Disney films. Rapunzel is a tale as old as time but it wasn't until 2010 that Disney turned the long-haired princess' story into its very own movie. The film starred Mandy Moore as Rapunzel and it was an instant blockbuster success. It was also the first Disney musical to feature an updated, more life-like, animated style.

Since Tangled came out, Disney have adapted many of their beloved animated features into live-action movies. Aladdin, The Lion King and Cinderella have all been given the live-action treatment and now it looks like Tangled is going to join them.

The DisInsider claims that Disney are developing a live-action Tangled right now. They say: "Ashleigh Powell (The Nutcracker and the Four Realms) Is writing the script, and the movie will be produced by Michael De Luca (Moneyball, Captain Phillips) of Michael de Luca Productions and Kristin Burr (Christopher Robin) of Burr! Productions, who is also producing Cruella."

It's currently unclear who will play Rapunzel, Flynn and Mother Gothel in the film but people have already started taking to social media to campaign for their faves to star in it. Suggestions so far include everyone from Florence Pugh to Sabrina Carpenter as Rapunzel and Jordan Fisher to Zayn as Flynn. People also want Cher to play Mother Gothel.
