After the huge season 2 cliffhanger fans are eager to know whether On My Block will return for season 3.
Is there going to be a season 3 of On My Block?
Season 2 of Netflix's hit teen drama On My Block premiered on the streaming platform on Friday, March 29. This season saw our favourite Freeridge residents dealing with the fall out from last season's shooting.
Season 2 picks up from where we left off, Ruby is alive and Olivia is dead from her gunshot wound. Meanwhile, Jamal's roller world cash needs to be washed and Cesar and Monse's relationship is on the rocks. On My Block season 2 is a stellar follow up to the successful first season, but will it it return for a third?

Has On My Block been renewed for season 3?
On My Block has not yet been renewed for season 3.
The second season of the popular teen drama only dropped on Netflix on March 29. So far, Netflix has made no announcements about the show, other than to promote its second season.
We will update you as soon as we know more about a potential season 3.
Is Netflix likely to renew On My Block for a third season?
Last year, On My Block was quickly renewed in less than a month. It premiered on March 16, 2018 and was picked up on April 13, 2018.
It is unclear if Netflix will follow the same time frame for renewal, but if the season is popular enough, they might have incentive to be as speedy with their decision as they were last time.
That being said, On My Block has a very strong following. Netflix even spotlighted the show as "the most binged show of 2018". Over the last year, fans have been eagerly awaiting season 2 and will undoubtedly be as enthusiastic about this season as they were the last.
Netflix renewal and cancellation decisions are based on viewership. While they don't publicly release viewing figures, Netflix tend to renew shows that are consistently watched and have strong viewer support.
Long running shows like House of Cards, Orange Is The New Black, BoJack Horseman, and Grace & Frankie have enjoyed ongoing viewer support and critical acclaim.
On My Block's chances of renewal are increased by the fact that it is an original story and not a Marvel property–or some other story that needs to be licensed.
Essentially, if you want On My Block to get another season, watch it more than once, tell your friends to watch it, and make sure you're vocal about your support.
Meanwhile, On My Block season 2 ended on a huge cliffhanger - Who kidnapped Ruby, Cesar, Jamal, and Monse?
At the end of season 2, Monse announces that she's planning to leave Freeridge for a new boarding school. She fights with Ruby, Cesar, and Jamal, who don't believe she is really going.
As she turns her back to them, a van rolls up and black sacks are thrown over each boy's head, before one is eventually thrown over Monse's head.
But who could be behind the kidnapping? Well, considering the fact that The Prophets were set up with some unwashed bank robbery money, we'd say they're our number one suspects.
But wait. What if Monse, Jamal, Cesar, and Ruby were kidnapped by someone who wants to protect them? The feds? The Santos?
Only time and a third season will tell. Your move, Netflix.
