We'll also be taking deeper looks into certain characters backstories, including the history shared between all the parents.

Several new characters will be coming to the town, including Jughead's mum Gladys (Gina Gershon) and sister Jellybean (Trinity Likins) as well as the farm/cult leader Edgar Evernever and his daughter Evelyn (Zoe De Grand'Maison).

The main mystery surrounding the season will be that of the Gargoyle King and the game, Gryphons and Gargoyles. The second half of the season is said to explore more of the cult that Alice and Polly Cooper are involved in.
